Our second CPH Meal went like a dream and we couldn’t be happier. Sunday was a much more laid-back affair than our first meal. A pub setting, just a couple of courses, a lazy Sunday vibe and great company.

The guys at Charlie’s Bar were also extremely positive and we’re now talking about holding something similar on a regular basis. Stay tuned for more info.

As to the immediate future, you’re not going to be hearing much from us for a couple of months as our head chef Ben is taking a well-earned break to spend some time in New York. He’ll be helping out at a couple of restaurants and also scouting for inspiration for CPH Meal.

In the meantime we’ll be working on a much more comprehensive site and plotting out some other directions for the project.

Just a quick note to announce that all 20 places for Sunday’s meal have now been filled. Those lucky people will have the pleasure of feasting on our delightfully seasonal menu:

• Braised Beef Cheeks
• Apple Crumble with Custard

Lunch will be served from 1pm at Charlie’s bar, although the bar will be open exclusively for us and our guests from 12 until 3pm.

Charlie’s stocks a range of real ales that is unrivalled in Copenhagen, so come in from the cold and get cosy with some great food and a pint.

We’re big believers in the power of spontaneity here at CPH Meal and so we’d like to invite you to a somewhat impromptu gathering this Sunday (October 18th).

CPH Meal #1.5 will take place at Charlie’s Bar and will include two courses for the delectably affordable price of just 150DKK. If you haven’t been, Charlie’s is a cosy but small place. This means numbers are limited so please be sure to mail us fast if you’d like to come along!
